Wheels tour in India offer an unique experience. Every saloon has its own
personal attendant or khidmatgar at tired in ethnic Rajasthani costume who
ensures your journey is comfortable and enjoyable. Fully air conditioned the
14 deluxe saloons are equipped with amenities like channel music and an in
tercom to further ease and enhance the pleasure of travelling. Each saloon
is a combination of 4 twin bedded chambers with attached toilets running
cold and hot water and shower facilities. Colorfully attired men and women
garland guests and accord a ceremonial welcome at the Delhi Cantonment
Railway Station from where the journey starts. For the next seven days,
guest live in regal splendor as the train winds its way through the Pink
City of Jaipur , historical Chittaurgarh and the Lake City Udaipur ,
fascinating Sawai Madhopur, the magical desert cities of Jaisalmer and
Jodhour , Bhartpur and Agra , The city of the Taj Mahal . This journey of a
lifetime begins as soon the Palace on Wheels pulls gently out of Delhi on to
the fascinating world of Rajasthan.
THE ROYAL ORIENT
The Royal Orient is the second 'palace on wheels' in India. Offering a
mesmerising seven day journey through the states if Gujarat and Rahasthan
the train is fitted with ultra deluxe comforts.

The train leaves every Wednesday from Delhi. On the first day if the tour
you visit the historic Chittaurgarh Fort in Rajasthan of the tour your visit
the City of Lake Udaipur where excursions are organised to the City Palace ,
Saheliyon ki Bari (royal gardens), the handicrafts village of Shilpgra and
boat rides in Lake Pichola. The next four days are spent travelling through
Gujarat. The palace traversed are as vibrant and colorful as the famous
Gujarati embroidery. At Junagadh you will be moved by the rock edict of
Ashok, the king who took to Buddhism and non violence after a bloody battle.
You will feel the spiritual in the ancient Jain temple city if Palitana. You
will soak your feet in the warm waters of the Arabian Sea and laze on the
beach at Ahmedpur Mandvi. You will safari into the fabled jungle of Sasangir
to see the only lions outside Africa. You can shop for exquisite handicrafts
as old as history, in shop blaring the latest Western hits in India's
textile capital of Ahmedabad the centre of Gandhi's fight against the
British Raj. The train then again retraces its route to Jaipur and from
there it heads for Delhi.
